Shift calendar custom and color

Shift Calendar 3.0 is fully customizable and runs on Android, Apple and Windows devices. It runs in your web browser, even if your internet connection is lost or when your device is in airplane mode.

Choose the colors of your shifts and edit or add custom shift names. At the bottom of this page you will find a few examples.

First, configure Shift Calendar 3.0. Then save or share it in one of the following ways;

  • On your Android smartphone or tablet, tap the menu icon (three vertical dots) and select the "Add to Home screen" option.
  • On your iPhone or iPad, tap the Share button (the rectangle with an arrow pointing upward). Tap the "Add to Home Screen" icon in the Share menu.
  • You can save the hyperlink on your computer by adding it to your favorites or dragging it on your desktop.
  • Tap one of the icons at the bottom of the app to share your calendar via Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, Whatsapp or email.

All preset shift schedules are linked to a pattern. When you select a shift schedule from the list, the pattern will autocomplete. In the same way, every team corresponds with a reference date.

Select a schedule and a team from the list to create the link to your shift calendar. Here you will find an overview of all schedules.

If your schedule is not listed, you can create a schedule yourself. More information can be found in the faq. A custom shift consists of a combination of up to three characters. The individual characters E, L, N, D, R, A, M and X are reserved characters.

Example 1:

Pattern: E,E,L,L,N,N,X,X,E12,E12,N12,N12,TRA,TRA,X,X

The individual characters E, L, N, D, R, M, A & X are reserved characters. Any other combination up to three characters is a custom shift. E12 will get custom color 1, N12 custom color 2 and TRA custom color 3. When all three custom colors are used, every further custom shift will get the color of R. The first character of the example pattern, an "E" (early/morning shift), is the shift that you worked on the reference date.

Example 2:

Pattern: EX,E,RES,L,N,N,D,D,XT1,XT2,X,X

EX gets custom color 1, RES custom color 2 and XT1 custom color 3. Since there are only three custom colors, XT2 will get the color selected at R. The "EX" shift coincides with the reference date.

Example 3:

Pattern: S1,S2,S3 or S1,S2,S3,S4

You can use this combination to make a calendar for 3 or 4 24h fire brigade shifts. S1 was/will be on shift on the reference date.
